Liz's Race for Life

Liz explains the challenge

I'm not exactly athletic ... er, well ... not remotely actually. A 5k run to me isn't exactly a fun way of spending a Sunday morning. But I'm not doing the Race for Life for the fun of it - I'm doing it for my Dad, Alan Middleton, who lost the fight against liver cancer on 14th March 2006. And so that I might just, in this small way, help other people not to have to go through what my Dad and my family have just been through.

I'm running with my sister Julia who, well, isn't exactly athletic either! So I would encourage you to give generously just for the pure entertainment value of two overweight redheads sweating their way 5k through Oldham on 18th June! The idea is that we will push and encourage each other, but believe me, the main purpose is to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
