Running the 5k Cancer Research Race for Life

This was my second time running in the Race for Life 5k, but a first at the Shepton Mallet venue. Although I knew what to expect, it was still an amazing site to see over 2000 women taking part in this event.

The course was partly track and partly grass, and undulating, which didn't make it the easiest race. But to make matters worse it was a very hot day and there was no shade on the course.

I was aiming to run the race in around 30 minutes and despite the conditions I finished just under that.
